Conference on Equity in Opportunity

The U.S. Department of Education will host the Conference on Equity in Opportunity, October 26-27, 2023, in Denver, Colorado. The theme is Raising the Bar: Elevating Educator Diversity to Enhance Educational Experiences. Join the 1.5-day event as we discuss priorities for a diverse workforce in education, identify hurdles to making a diverse workforce a reality, disseminate and amplify promising practices, and share information about grant funding to increase equity and access to funding opportunities.  The conference aims to foster thoughtful conversations around how to ensure that every student has access to outstanding, well-prepared, well-supported educators who reflect the diversity of the students they serve.
